View on Facebook · Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linked In Share by Email Hollidaysburg Borough 1 week ago MEMORIAL DAY COMMUNITY EVENTS IN HOLLIDAYSBURG: Monday, May 25* American Legion Post 516 Memorial Day Parade 10am * Hollidaysburg Community Band Concert 7pm at Canal Basin Park (rain location for the concert is Grace Bible Church on Logan Boulevard)HOLLIDAYSBURG MEMORIAL DAY PARADE: A reminder that parking and traffic on the parade route will be affected before, during and after Hollidaysburg's Memorial Day parade, scheduled for 10am Monday May 25. The parade is organized and run by American Legion Post 516. Questions about the parade may be directed to Denny Haire at 814-931-9169. In order not to miss any of the parade, it would be a good idea to gather/be on site for the pre-parade bridge ceremony, scheduled for 9:30am near Jaycee Memorial Park in Hollidaysburg, after which the parade will walk out. The ceremony will take place at the bridge on Allegheny Street and North Juniata Street. It is hosted by the Daughters of the American Revolution, Adam Holliday Chapter. The route announced by the Legion is the same as in previous years: Corner of North Juniata/Allegheny, proceeding up Allegheny Street to Union Street, and turning left onto Walnut Street, then turning onto Montgomery and ending past the Capitol Hotel on the Diamond. After the parade, there will be selections by the Hollidaysburg marching band members, and dignitaries will speak from the Diamond. FREE MEMORIAL DAY CONCHollidaysburg Community Band Band will give its free Memorial Day concert at the amphitheater in Canal Basin Park, Hollidaysburg, Monday May 25 at 7pm. (GPS address is 101 Canal Street, Hollidaysburg. ) Attendees bring their own folding chairs. Enjoy a patriotic program that Hollidaysburg Community Band will be performing in Normandy and Paris, France, in early June. The rain location for this concerGrace Bible Churchhurch on Logan Boulevard (GPS address is 164 Laurel Lane, Hollidaysburg). Check the Community Band's Facebook page for announcements related to weather and concert location, as well as future concerts to be held later this summer. All other details remain the same. Please tell your friends and neighbors! DOWNTOWN HOLLIDAYSBURG SPRING CLEANUP 2026Hollidaysburg friends and neighbors will be keeping the Downtown clean and green on Tuesday, May 26. Meet at 4pm outside CopyRite on the Diamond to organize and distribute supplies. Gloves and orange vests will be provided for first 25 participants. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves for protection (shorts not recommended but some people prefer to wear shorts). If you have not been out in the sun lately, you may wish to bring your own sunglasses/sunscreen/hat. Cleanup (on Allegheny Street between Penn and North Juniata) will be held from 4pm until we are done. We’ll likely finish before dark. We expect up to 25 participants for this Hollidaysburg Pick Up Pennsylvania event. Ages 14+ preferred, under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is now in its 3rd year, organized by Councilman Leahey.
