Overview
This document is a Zoning Appeal Application for the City of Altoona, Pennsylvania. It serves as the official form to request action before the City of Altoona Zoning Hearing Board. The application requires detailed information regarding the property, the applicant, and the specific nature of the appeal (e. g. , Variance or Special Exception).
Submission Requirements
To ensure an application is placed on the agenda, strict adherence to the following instructions is required:
- Copies: Nine (9) completed copies of the form must be submitted.
- Narrative: A written narrative explaining the request and the points upon which the appeal is based must be attached.
- Special Exceptions: The narrative must explain how the project meets each condition listed in the zoning district's regulations.
- Variances: The narrative must explain how the project meets the requirements of Section 910. 2 of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.
- Supporting Materials: All necessary drawings, photographs, and supporting materials must be included.
- Fees: All required fees must be paid before a hearing will be scheduled.

- Office Use Only: This section is for internal city use to record fees, previous appeal history, and specific zoning ordinance sections relied upon.
