Meeting Overview

The Tyrone Borough Council is scheduled to hold its regular meeting on November 10, 2025, at 7:00 PM.

Agenda Highlights

The meeting will begin with standard procedures, including an invocation by Paul Politza of the Hillside Community Church and a Pledge of Allegiance.

Public Participation:

  • Public Comment: Jen Powell from the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library is scheduled to speak.
  • Vacant Seat Interviews: The Council will conduct public interviews for a vacant Borough Council seat.

Reports and Approvals:

  • Minutes & Financials: Approval of minutes from October 13, 2025, and financial reports for October 31, 2025.
  • Manager’s Report: The Interim Borough Manager will present a monthly report containing several motions, including:
    • Approving traffic signal maintenance and tree removal along Reservoir Drive.
    • Approving a Master Plan for Reservoir Park by P. Joseph Lehman.
    • Approving bids for chemicals and the resignation of a full-time officer.
    • Appointing Jeffrey Barr as a new Full-Time Officer.
    • Approving free two-hour meter parking from November 20 to January 4.
    • Approving donations to the Tyrone Food Bank, Allegheny Spay & Neuter, and TIG for "Lights in the Park. "
    • Approving a transfer of funds to FNB Wealth Management and the 2026 Proposed Budget for public review.

Legal and Departmental Updates:

  • Solicitor: Review of Resolution No. 2025-08 regarding PennDOT Signatories and Ordinance No. 1490 regarding E-Bike regulations.
  • Departmental Reports: The Council will receive reports from the Consulting Engineer, Code Enforcement, Police Department, Sewer Department, Water Department, and Highway Department.
