Blair County Upset Tax Sale Announcement
The Blair County Upset Tax Sale is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2026, at the Blair County Courthouse in Hollidaysburg, PA.
Key Dates and Times
- Pre-registration Deadline: Friday, September 4, 2026. All bidders must register by this date to participate.
- Check-in: 8:00 A. M. to 8:50 A. M. on the day of the sale.
- Sale Start: 9:00 A. M.
Important Notices
- Office Closure: The Tax Claim Office will be closed until 1:00 PM on the day of the sale.
- Property Status: Properties are NOT sold free and clear. Please review the Conditions of Sale on the blairco. org website under the "Upset Sale Tab. "
Unsold Properties and Judicial Sales
Properties that do not sell during the Upset Sale will proceed to a Judicial Sale in June.
- Title Search Fee: A $400. 00 Title Search Fee will be added to each property placed in Judicial Sale Status.
- Stopping the Sale: Once a property is in Judicial Sale Status, the only way to stop the sale is to pay the full balance of all back taxes using a Certified Check, Cash, or Money Order.
Post-Sale Procedures
- A Consolidated Return will be filed for the Upset Sale results.
- Notices of Actual Sale will be mailed to property owners whose properties were sold.
- Title searches will begin on all unsold properties.
Courthouse Holidays
