Overview
The Borough of Tyrone has enacted Ordinance No. 1350 to amend Chapter 190 of the Borough Code regarding "Vehicles and Traffic. " This ordinance updates regulations for handicapped parking spaces and adds new stop signs to improve traffic safety.
Handicapped Parking Changes
The ordinance amends Article IV (Section 190-27) to adjust the location of public handicapped parking spaces:
- Removed: The space on the north side of Tenth Street at the Dollar Store.
- Added: New public handicapped spaces on the south side of Tenth Street at Hunter Avenue and on the east side of Logan Avenue at Herald Street.
New Stop Signs
The ordinance amends Article III (Section 190-60) to install stop signs at the following intersections:
- Alley B: Between 9th and 10th Street East, for both East and West bound traffic on Cameron Avenue and S. Lincoln Avenue.
- Wertz Street: For both East and West bound traffic at the intersection with Hamilton Avenue.
Effective Date
The ordinance was enacted on April 14, 2014, and becomes effective at the earliest possible date provided by law.
