This document is Ordinance No. 1178 enacted by the Borough of Tyrone, Pennsylvania. It establishes specific parking restrictions on Tenth Street to manage traffic flow and safety during certain times of the year.
Key Regulations (Section 1)
The ordinance prohibits parking on specific sides of Tenth Street between Logan Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue (or Berlin Street) during the following times:
North Side of Tenth Street
- Location: From Logan Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue.
- Prohibited Hours: 6:00 a. m. to 8:00 a. m.
- Schedule:
- November 15 through March 15: Every day.
- March 16 through November 14: Only on Wednesdays and Fridays.
South Side of Tenth Street
- Location: From Logan Avenue to Berlin Street.
- Restriction: 15-minute parking is allowed only between 6:00 a. m. and 8:00 a. m.
- Schedule: Year-round.
Enforcement and Penalties (Sections 2 & 3)
- Signage: The Borough is authorized to erect traffic signs to advise drivers of these provisions.
- Fines: Violators face a fine of up to $25. 00 plus prosecution costs.
- Imprisonment: In default of payment, offenders may face imprisonment for not more than five (5) days.
- Separate Offenses: Each day a violation continues is considered a separate offense.
Administrative Details
- Severability: If any part of the ordinance is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
- Repealer: This ordinance amends Ordinance 1131 and repeals any other inconsistent resolutions.
- Effective Date: The ordinance became effective on the earliest possible date provided by law.
- Enactment Date: March 12, 2001.
