Election Overview

This document contains sample ballots for the Official Municipal Election and Retention Election in Blair County, Pennsylvania. The election is scheduled for November 4, 2025.

The ballots provided are specific to the following locations:

  • Altoona Ward 1 (Municipal Ballot)
  • Altoona Ward 2, Precinct 1 (Municipal Ballot)

Voting Instructions

Voters are instructed to use a medium point black or blue pen only. Ballots are counted by optical scanners, and other writing instruments may not be readable.

  • Marking: Blacken the oval completely to vote for a candidate or "Yes/No" on questions.
  • Write-ins: To vote for a person not listed, blacken the oval to the left of the line and write their name in the blank space.
  • Absentee/Mail-in: Voters who receive an absentee or mail-in ballot must return it by the deadline. If unable to do so, they may only vote a provisional ballot at their polling place on election day unless they surrender the absentee/mail-in materials to the judge of elections.
  • Mistakes: If a mistake is made, ask for a new ballot.

  • Judge of the Superior Court: Brandon Neuman (Democratic), Maria Battista (Republican), Daniel Wassmer (Liberal)
  • Judge of the Commonwealth Court: Stella Tsai (Democratic), Matt Wolford (Republican)
  • Judge of the Court of Common Pleas (24th Judicial District): Vote for not more than two.
