Voting Instructions

Voters are instructed to blacken the oval completely. A medium point black or blue pen must be used, as ballots are counted by an optical scanner.

Absentee/Mail-in Voting Rules:

  • If a voter timely returns an absentee or mail-in ballot, they may not vote at their polling place on election day.
  • If a voter is unable to timely return their absentee or mail-in ballot, they may only vote a provisional ballot unless they surrender the original ballot and envelope to the judge of elections.
  • Voters must sign a statement under penalty of perjury (18 Pa. C. S. § 4904) declaring they have not cast their ballot and have returned it to the polling place.
