Court Order Regarding Courthouse Security

This Administrative Order reiterates the authority of the Blair County Sheriff's Office to conduct security screenings at the Blair County Courthouse. The order is issued in accordance with previous court orders and existing courthouse security policies.
Key Directives
The Sheriff's Office is authorized to perform the following actions to prevent weapons from entering the building:
- Reasonable Searches: Conducting searches of persons and property entering the courthouse.
- Metal Detectors: The use of metal detectors is authorized for screening individuals.
- Pat-Down Searches: A pat-down search is permitted for any person who activates a signal on the metal detector.
- Personal Property: The Sheriff's Office has administrative authority to search all packages, briefcases, and other containers in the immediate possession of persons entering the courthouse property.
