Overview

The Duncansville Municipal Authority (PWSID# 4070012) has released its 2019 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report. The report covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2019. The primary source of water is a groundwater well, with emergency connections to the Altoona Water Authority’s municipal system.

Contaminant Monitoring Results

The authority routinely monitors for contaminants according to federal and state laws. The following results were recorded for the reporting period:

Lead and Copper

  • Lead: 90th percentile value was 0 ppb (Action Level is 15). No violation.
  • Copper: 90th percentile value was 0. 72 ppm (Action Level is 1. 3). No violation.

Failure to Monitor Notice

The report includes a notice regarding monitoring requirements not met for the Duncansville Municipal Authority.

  • Nitrates: One sample was required annually. It was taken on 3/9/20.
  • Trihalomethanes: One sample was required annually. It was taken on 8/7/19 (required by ±3 days of 8/14/19).

Residents are advised that there is nothing they need to do at this time regarding these monitoring failures.
